Q1 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Union County?

There were three offenders living in Union County released on parole during the first quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows two men and one woman were released in Union County. The median age of the parolees was 45. The youngest parolee was a 35-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2019, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Paul A. Forker. He was convicted of a property crime in 2018 when he was 50 years old. He is now 54.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2021 in each Union County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
