Pulaski County Board of Commissioners Adjourned met Aug. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

At an adjourned meeting of the Pulaski County Board of Commissioners, a meeting was held at 8:15 a.m. with the following present: Mr. Rex Wilburn, Chairman, Mr. Robert Helman, Vice Chairman and Mr. Mike Sharp, Secretary.

Pulaski County Highway Engineer, Mr. Brad Watson, met with the board to give an update on the highway department. Mr. Helman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sharp, all “Aye", to approve federal aid matching for county MFT funds. Motion Carries.

Pulaski County State's Attorney, Mrs. Lisa Casper, met with the board to discuss the Opioid litigation.

Pulaski County Sheriff, Mr. Randy Kern, met with the board to give an update on the Sheriff's department.

The board discussed the insurance premiums that are due and past due.

Pulaski County Ambulance Director, Mrs. Tracie Hafford, met with the board to discuss the ambulance department. Mrs. Hafford informed the board of the staff shortage at the ambulance department due to various reasons. Mrs. Hafford said she has had to take on more hours and would like to be compensated for them. Mr. Helman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sharp, all "Aye", to pay Mrs. Hafford and extra $576.00 per pay period until December 1st. Motion Carries.

Pulaski County Detention Center Administrator, Mr. Damon Acuff, met with the board to give an update on the jail. Mr. Sharp made a motion, seconded by Mr. Helman, all “Aye", to pay PCDC bills and payroll in the amount of $201,103.57. Motion Carries.

Mr. Acuff discussed with the board equipment and structure damage incurred due to the riot that took place recently. Mr. Acuff is also looking into purchasing tools and equipment for the staff to provide added safety.

Pulaski County Chief Deputy Treasurer, Mrs. Cheryl Dunaway, met with the board to give the financial report. Mr. Helman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sharp, all "Aye", to transfer $300.28 from court finance to general fund. Motion Carries.

Mr. Sharp made a motion, seconded by Mr. Helman, all “Aye”, to pay general fund bills in the amount of $12,710.88. Motion Carries.

Mr. Helman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sharp, all “Aye”, to adjourn the meeting at 11:45 a.m. until the next regular meeting to be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 8:15 a.m. Motion Carries.

At an adjourned meeting of the Pulaski County Board of Commissioners, a special meeting was held on Friday, August 13, 2021, with the following present: Mr. Rex Wilburn, Chairman, Mr. Robert Helman, Vice Chairman and Mr. Mike Sharp, Secretary.

Mr. Helman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sharp, all “Aye”, to approve Anticipation Warrant #1, on IMRF, in the amount of $50,000.00. Motion Carries.

Mr. Sharp made a motion, seconded by Mr. Helman, all “Aye", to approve Anticipation Warrant #2, on IMRF, in the amount of $50,000.00. Motion Carries.

Mr. Helman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Sharp, all "Aye”, to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 a.m. until the regular meeting to be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 8:15 a.m. Motion Carries.
