A. Commencement of Hearing on Complaint Filed By Village of Niles Police Chief Luis Tigera To Terminate Sgt. Nicholas Beyer:

a. Determination of Probable Cause to Move Forward with the Hearing on the Charges.

b. Motion or Objection as to Sufficiency of the Charges.

c. Motion to Suspend Respondent Without Pay During the Pendency of the Hearing.

d. Motion To Conduct Hearing In Closed Session.

e. Other Preliminary Procedural Matters and Motions.

f. Request for Documents; Issuance of Subpoenas.

g. Stipulations and Stipulated Exhibits.

h. Discussion of anticipated number of witnesses per Party and anticipated length of time to present each Party’s case.

i. Set schedule of additional dates and times to complete the Hearing.

B. Recess to a Closed Meeting pursuant to:

a. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of a specific employee of the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee for the public body to determine its validity.

b. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(4) to hear evidence or testimony presented in open hearing, or in closed hearing where specifically authorized by law, to a quasiadjudicative body, as defined in this Act, provided that the body prepares and makes available for public inspection a written decision setting forth its determinative reasoning.
