A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Grant Capel to open the public hearing for the 2020-2021 budget amendment. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

Superintendent Bullard reviewed the 2020-2021 budget amendment.

A motion was made by Dave Sullivan and seconded by Lori Foster to close the public hearing.

A motion was made by Elaine Ray and seconded by Pam Needling to approve the consent agenda of the following items: Minutes of the March 15, 2021 Regular Meeting, Financial Reports: Activity Fund, Revolving Fund, Treasurer’s Report, Cafeteria Report, Insurance Report, Approve Bills and Payroll, Approve Renewal of the Interagency Agreement with Child and Family Connections. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Tracee Foley to approve the 2020-2021 budget amendments as presented. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Dave Sullivan to approve Heartland Mechanics bid of $298,200 for the HVAC and roofing projects. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Elaine Ray and seconded by Lori Foster to accept the bid of $1,500 from John Clark for the purchase of the 2004 Freightliner bus (Bus 9). Mr. Laster, Mrs. Massey and Mr. Lannom reviewed their building reports.

A motion was made by Dave Sullivan and seconded by Elaine Ray to enter executive session for the purpose of:

 The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

 Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2)

 The selection of a person to fill a public office, as defined in the Open Meetings Act, including a vacancy in a public office, when the public body is given power to appoint under law or ordinance, or the discipline, performance or removal of the occupant of the public office, when the public body is given the power to remove the occupant under law or ordinance. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(3) Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Board went into executive session at 6:25 p.m.

A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Elaine Ray to approve the executive session minutes of March 15, 2021 regular meeting. A motion was made by Grant Capel and seconded by Dave Sullivan to approve Nathan Hodges, Larry Carter and Jenny Sadler as volunteer golf coaches for the 2021 season. A motion was made by Dave Sullivan and seconded by Grant Capel to approve hiring Elaina Keller as special education teacher beginning with the 2021-2022 school year. A motion was made by Elaine Ray and seconded by Lori Foster to approve hiring Hannah Middleton as classroom interventionist beginning with the 2021-2022 school year. A motion was made by Tracee Foley and seconded by Pam Needling to approve hiring Brittanie Rendleman as elementary teacher beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.
