Shawnee Community College issued the following announcement on May 19.
Shawnee Community College is currently enrolling for summer and fall semesters. SCC continues to expand opportunities for both in-person and online classes in order to meet student demands. Shawnee Community College Vice-President of Student Success & Services Dr. Lisa Price said, “Now is a great time to return to school or begin training for a new career or transfer degree path. As Covid-19 restrictions begin to loosen and more people are being vaccinated, we are seeing renewed interest in returning to college.”
To help accommodate residents who may be unable to register during regular business hours SCC will offer extended hours of operation for registration. Students may visit any of Shawnee College’s locations including Anna, Cairo, Vienna, Metropolis, and Ullin. Thursday, May, 27 and again on Tuesday, June 1, until 6:00 p.m.
Summer classes will begin Tuesday, June 1, and registration for Fall classes will continue during the summer semester. For more information regarding classes or for financial aid information, call 618-634-3200.
