New Simpson Hill District #32 Board of Education Met March 11.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of March 11, 2021, to order at 6:00PM.
Present were: Hoffard, Craig, Mize, Ross, and Widowski. Hill and Treat were absent.
Administration present: Mr. Nighswander and Mrs. Armstrong
Motion by Craig seconded by Mize to approve the minutes of the 02-11-21 regular board meeting, carried.
Motion by Widowski seconded by Mize to approve the financial report as presented and payment of
the bills as listed in the amount of $33,225., carried.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Calendar, Mobility/Enrollment Report, E-Learning Plan, Technology, Athletics
Motion by Mize seconded by Widowski to accept the fees for FY22 as presented, carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Mize to approve the amended calendar as presented, carried.
Motion by Ross seconded by Mize to convene to closed session at 7:26 pm to discuss:
Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)
Motion by Mize seconded by Ross to resume open session at 8:04, carried.
Motion by Ross seconded by Widowski to approve the Principal evaluation as presented, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Ross to approve the Superintendent evaluation as presented, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Widowski to employ Hannah Middleton as Pre-K teacher for the 2021-22 school year, carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Ross to adjourn, carried.
