Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on May 4.
From the Office of the Chief of Police: Arrest Summary, April 26, 2021;
Roberta L. Leek, 61, Metropolis came to the Metropolis PD to make a report. Officers were aware that she was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Failure to appear-Aggravated Assault. Leek was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Sonja L Sledd, 38, Metropolis was arrested at the Metropolis Police Dept. Sledd was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by McCracken County, KY for failure to appear-Possession of Methamphetamine. Sledd was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.
April 27, 2021
Metropolis Officers were called to a residence in the 1000 block of Simmons. Upon arrival, Officers met with Paige A Gelso,18, Metropolis. Officers were aware that Gelso was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for failure to appear on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. Gelso was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
