Anna Consolidated Community School District #37 Board of Education met March 1.

Board President Grant Capel called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

A motion was made by Dave Sullivan and seconded by Grant Capel to approve the special meeting agenda for the meeting. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Grant Capel to enter executive session for the purpose of: 

The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

Board went into executive session at 5:32 p.m.

Board returned to open session at 6:04 p.m.

A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Grant Capel to approve hiring Beth Hileman as part-time nurse. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Tracee Foley and seconded by Dave Sullivan to approve hiring Rachel Massa as speech language pathologist for the 21-22 school year. Roll call vote:

Grant Capel, yea; Tracee Foley, yea; Lori Foster, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Tracee Foley and seconded by Lori Foster to adjourn at 6:05 p.m. with the next meeting being a regular meeting scheduled for March 15, 2021. Voice vote: Motion carried.
