City of Anna City Council met March 16.

Commissioner Eichelkraut presented minutes of previous meeting.
Moved by Commissioner Eichelkraut that the minutes of a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Ottawa, Illinois, held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, be approved as recorded in the permanent files of the City Clerk.
Second by Ganiere.
Ayes: Eichelkraut, Ganiere, Rodriguez, Less, and Mayor Aussem.
Nays: None. Motion carried.
A public hearing was held on the proposed $15,000,000.00 bond issue. City Treasurer, Don Harris explained the projects that the bond proceeds would be used for. He added that between now and May 4th is our rating agency exploration time. With no one else commenting, the Mayor declared the hearing closed at 7:07 p.m.

Moved by Commissioner Eichelkraut that the Biweekly Salary Payroll of March 5, 2021, in the amount of $405,153.78, be approved and warrants issued.

Moved by Commissioner Rodriguez that the Bid received from Hacienda Landscaping in the amount of $517,857.00 and alternate bid #1 in the amount of $27,904.00 and alternate bid #5 in the amount of $12,478.00 for the Thornton Park Improvement Project, be accepted and paid for with grant proceeds and general corporate funds.

Moved by Mayor Aussem that an Ordinance amending Article 10 to Chapter 26 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ottawa, LaSalle County, Illinois, regarding mobile food vendors, be passed and approved.

Commissioner Eichelkraut added that the Ordinance needs to be strengthened and fine tuned, but we needed to get something on the books. Commissioner Less shares the same concerns and thought is was less restrictive.
