Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 12.
From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, January 1-9, 2021;
January 1, 2021
Metropolis Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1100 block of E. 8th St. Upon arrival, officers learned that Rachel K Boone, 28, Metropolis threw an item at victim, striking him in the ankle and also stuck him in the face a couple of times. Boone was arrested for domestic Battery and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Christian A Tolbert,25, Metropolis was arrested at a residence on Lois Ln. Tolbert was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Pope County, IL for failure to appear on a domestic battery charge. Tolbert was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
January 5, 2021
A Metropolis Sergeant observed a green Ford Mustang Convertible drive pat him on 5th St. The Sergeant recognized the driver as Jonathon R Rideout, 42, Bardwell KY. The Sergeant was aware that Rideout had a suspended driver’s license in IL. A traffic stop was conducted and a computer check revealed that Rideout still had a suspended license. The Sergeant also learned that there was an active order of protection issued against Rideout. The protected party was in the vehicle as a passenger. Rideout was charged with driving while license suspended, violation of an order of protection, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of open alcohol. (open bottle of Whiskey). Rideout was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
January 6, 2021
A Metropolis Officer stopped a burgundy Nissan for disobeying a stop sign and speeding on 19th and North Ave. A computer check revealed that the driver, Dakota L Stevens, 29, Metropolis had a suspended driver’s license. Stevens was able to post bond and was released after processing.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
