Shawnee CUSD 84 School District issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.
Shawnee District #84 is seeking applicants to fill an immediate opening for the 2020-2021 school year:
• School Nurse – R.N. preferred
Specifics of the position are:
-10 month position normally during the months of August through June including two weeks before school starts and two weeks after school ends.
-Intended school day shall be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday though Friday during the school term.
-Rate of pay is determined by the Certified Salary Schedule and years of experience.
-Benefits include paid sick, personal and bereavement days.
-Entitled to the same insurance benefits offered to other certified employees.
-Must possess a valid Illinois Registered Nurse License.
-Must be able to successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.
-Applicant will be responsible for managing the health and wellness of students and employees. This includes performing first aid, medication management, record management, completing associated state reports and other duties as assigned by the administration.
