Village of Goreville issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.
Don Kerley has more than 27 years as trustee to the Village of Goreville, he has served as Mayor Pro Tem during times of the Mayor’s absence.
Don has decided it is time to retire as village trustee. His knowledge and wisdom will be greatly missed by the Mayor, Trustees, and employees.
It has been an honor and privilege to work with you, Mr. Kerley. THANK YOU!!!
