Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.

December 12, 2020
A Metropolis Officer stopped a blue Dodge pick-up truck on 10th & Ferry for speeding. A computer check on the driver, Joseph D Bruner,20, Wickliffe, KY revealed that his driver’s license was suspended. Bruner was arrested and taken to the Metropolis Police Department for processing. Bruner was released on bond.
December 13, 2020
Dalton H. Goines,22, Ozark, IL was arrested at the Sports park on Metropolis St. Goines was wanted on warrants. The first was issued by Johnson County IL and the second by Massac County. Both warrants were for failure to appear in court. Goines was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Mark A Dennis, 46, Barlow, KY was arrested in the parking lot of McDonalds. Dennis was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by McCracken County, KY for failure to appear. Dennis was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center pending extradition to KY.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
