Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Pulaski County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Pulaski County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Pulaski County were men. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2019, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced for a crime against one or more children in 2009.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Darrell G. Neeley. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2009 when he was 48 years old. He is now 59.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Pulaski County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
