McClure East Cape Volunteer Fire Department responded to nine calls in 2018 - 35.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in McClure East Cape included nine fires - five structure fires, one vehicle fire and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $350,500 in fire loss - or about $38,944 per fire.
