Jonesboro Fire District responded to 25 calls in 2018 - 4.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Jonesboro included 21 fires - 16 structure fires, one vehicle fire and four other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $486,500 in fire loss - or about $23,167 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.
