Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Massac County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Massac County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Massac County were men. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 32-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Adam Burnham. He was convicted of a property crime in 2018 when he was 29 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Massac County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
