METROPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT: From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, July 5-11, 2020

Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on July 14.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, July 5-11, 2020;

July 6, 2020

Ronald L Greer,32, Karnak was arrested at the Citgo. Greer was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for a Meth related charge. Greer was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence on White Oak Drive. The victim advised that she was struck numerous times by Scott A Anderson,54, Metropolis. Anderson was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

At 10:31 pm, A Metropolis Officer observed a gold colored Ford pick-up truck driving on Filmore St without its headlights on. A traffic stop was conducted. A Computer check on the driver, Aimee Lynn Davis, 30, Metropolis revealed that her driver’s license was revoked. She could not provide proof of Insurance. Davis was charged with Driving while license revoked and operation of an uninsured motor Vehicle. She was processed at the Metropolis Police Department and released on bond.

July 10, 2020

Metropolis Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of Ferry. The caller stated that she taken a firearm away from Delman R. Elmore,42, Metropolis and she was afraid he was going to harm himself. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller who gave the officers the firearm. Elmore refused to speak with a counselor. A computer check showed that Elmore had a revoked FOID card. Elmore was arrested and taken to the Massac Memorial Hospital for evaluation. He was released then lodged in the Massac County Detention Center. 

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
