New Simpson Hill Community School District 32 Board met May 14.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
President Hoffard called the regular board meeting to order at 6:00PM.
Present were: Hoffard, Craig, Mize, Ross, Hill, Widowski, and Treat.
Administration present: Mr. Nighswander and Mrs. Armstrong
Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to approve the minutes of the 04-29-20 board meeting, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Hill to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $19,571., carried.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Calendar
Motion by Craig seconded by Treat to accept the price quotes as presented, carried.
Motion by Hill seconded Mize to appoint Racheal Huckelberry as school board treasurer, carried.
Motion my Mize seconded by Widowski to approve polices 2:125, 2:160, 4:50, 5:35, 5:50, 5:60, 5:150, 5:210, 5:280, 6:135, 6:235, 6:280, 7:70, 7:90, 7:130, 7:325, 8:10, 8:30, 8:80, 8:110 for adoption, carried.
Motion by Widowski seconded by Treat to set new graduation date for June 2, or June 4, or July 7 based on parent/student survey or poll, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Ross to convene to closed session at 7:10PM to discuss:
•Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)
Motion by Treat seconded by Ross to resume open session at 7:25PM, carried.
Motion by Widowski seconded by Craig to require educational support personnel for 2020-21 school year with salaries as presented, carried.
Motion by Mize seconded by Widowski to rehire coaches for 2020-21 school year, carried.
Motion by Craig seconded by Treat to adjourn, carried.
