SOUTHERN SEVEN HEALTH DEPARTMENT: Southern Seven Health Department (S7HD) reports 1 new recovered cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region

Southern Seven Health Department issued the following announcement on June 13.

Southern Seven Health Department (S7HD) reports 1 new recovered cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region. Currently, there are 157 individuals from the Southern Seven region who have recovered since the start of the pandemic in the United States.

Southern Seven confirms 0 new cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region. The individual is being isolated. The newly confirmed cases by gender and age are as follows:

• NO NEW CASES REPORTED

Southern Seven Health Department will report on the number of confirmed positive cases as more cases appear. Currently, S7HD is reporting a cumulative total of 268 positive cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region. Southern Seven confirms a total of 3,300 negative COVID-19 tests have been reported in the region as of June 10.

Southern Seven is pleased to report 0 new deaths as a result of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region. There have been a total of 15 deaths in the region since the start of the pandemic.

The number of individuals confirmed, to date, within the Southern Seven Counties are as follows: NOTE: On June 8, Southern Seven reported 3 recovered cases that were discovered today to still be active. Numbers below have been updated to reflect this change.

• Alexander: 16 cases, 12 recovered, 4 active, 0 deaths

• Hardin: 1 case, 1 recovered, 0 active, 0 deaths

• Johnson: 15 cases, 11 recovered, 4 active, 0 deaths

• Massac: 7 cases, 7 recovered, 0 active, 0 deaths

• Pope: 1 case, 1 recovered, 0 active, 0 deaths

• Pulaski: 62 cases, 33 recovered, 29 active, 0 deaths

• Union: 166 cases, 92 recovered, 59 active, 15 deaths

Southern Seven Health Department will not release specific information about individuals with COVID-19 beyond their gender and age range, unless ordered by the court.

According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), in Illinois there were 595 new individuals with COVID-19 identified on June 12 bringing the confirmed total in the State to 131,198 individuals, with 6,260 deaths.

All data are provisional and will change. In order to rapidly report COVID-19 information to the public, data are being reported in real-time. Information is constantly being entered into an electronic system and the number of cases and deaths can change as additional information is gathered.
