Ana-Illinois issued the following announcement on May 30.
Drew currently works as a Hospitalist and Emergency Dept. APRN provider at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. He has taken a step back from formal leadership, as he formalized his craft as an APRN. Drew considers himself an informal leader by taking the time to explain the “why” behind “what” when ordering medications or interventions. He is able to utilize past experience as a nurse leader to shape his practice by eliminating barriers or friction points that he had experienced with providers as an RN. In his first year, Drew was a quarterly nominee for his hospital’s “Bravo” award for going above and beyond to care for his patients and their nurses. Drew will be leaving his current employer and position in June, to assist in starting a SNFist medical group for his area. Drew's goal is to provide education for skilled care facilities, care for older adults and work with facilities to improve their Medicare data.
