Anna Community School District No. 37 Board of Education met March 23.

Board President Grant Capel called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

A motion was made by Pam Needling and seconded by Dave Sullivan to approve the agenda for the meeting. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Craig Dillman, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Elaine Ray and seconded by Craig Dillman to approve the consent agenda of the following items: minutes of February 20, 2020 regular meeting, activity fund report, revolving fund report, treasurer’s report, cafeteria report, insurance report, bills and payroll, executive minutes of February 20, 2020, approve MOU between AEEA and the Board about the maintenance director salary. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Craig Dillman, yea; Pam Needling, abstain; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Craig Dillman and seconded by Dave Sullivan to approve the proposed alternate bid for the media center/library HVAC from A & W Plumbing and Heating Inc. for $118,200. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Craig Dillman, yea Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Elaine Ray and seconded by Pam Needling to approve the proposed alternate bid for the band room HVAC replacement from A & W Plumbing & Heating Inc. for $32,475. Roll call vote: Grant Capel, yea; Craig Dillman, yea; Pam Needling, yea; Elaine Ray, yea; Dave Sullivan, yea. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Dave Sullivan and seconded by Pam Needling to adjourn at 6:10 p.m. with the next meeting being a regular meeting scheduled for April 20, 2020. Voice vote: Motion carried.
