Southern Seven Health Department issued the following announcement on April 30.
Southern Seven Health Department (S7HD) reports 4 new recovered cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region. One is from Union County. One is from Alexander County. And the other two are from Pulaski County. Currently, there are 20 individuals who have recovered since the start of the pandemic in the United States.
Southern Seven confirms 5 new cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region. Two females from Union County, both in their 50’s. Two males from Union County; one his 30’s, the other in his 40’s. And a male in his 40’s from Pulaski County.
Southern Seven Health Department will report on the number of confirmed positive cases as more cases appear. Currently, S7HD is reporting a total of 45 cases and no deaths. The number of individuals confirmed, to date, with COVID-19 within the Southern Seven Counties:
Alexander: 3 cases, 1 of 3 recovered, 0 deaths
Hardin: 1 case, 1 of 1 recovered, 0 deaths
Johnson: 4 cases, 2 of 4 recovered, 0 deaths
Massac: 4 cases, 3 of 4 recovered, 0 deaths
Pope: 0 cases, 0 recovered, 0 deaths
Pulaski: 18 cases, 8 of 18 recovered, 0 deaths
Union: 15 cases, 5 of 15 recovered, 0 deaths
Southern Seven Health Department will not release specific information about individuals with COVID-19 beyond their sex and age range, unless ordered by the court.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Illinois has risen dramatically in the past week. According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), in Illinois there were 2,563 new individuals with COVID-19 identified on April 30 bringing the confirmed total in the State to 52,918 individuals, with 2,355 deaths.
