City of Anna issued the following announcement on April 30.
The City of Anna is challenging YOU to complete your census. We are hosting a 2020 RESPONSE RATE CHALLENGE! We have until October 31, 2020 to get our 2020 census filled out and we will be monitoring and posting the city progress on a weekly basis. Rates can be checked at: https://www.2020census.gov/en/response-rates.html
After October 31, 2020, the City will announce our official response rate to the community. If the response rate is between 86.00%-95.99%, each residence within the City Limits will be eligible to receive a $10 gift card, limit one per household. Details on how to pick up the gift cards, along with a listing of the businesses will be available after closing of the census competition. If the response rate is between 96.00%-100%, each residential utility customer within the city limits will be eligible for a bill credit of $25.00. No refunds will be paid.
