Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Union County?

There were 10 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Union County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that nine men and one woman were released in Union County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Clifford E. Treece. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016 when he was 43 years old. He is now 47.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Union County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
