Southern Seven Health Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has released new data regarding this year's flu season in Illinois.
As of January 11, IDPH reports that 11,799 persons have gone to the doctor with flu-like symptoms since the start of flu season in October.
