New Simpson Hill School District 32 Board of Education met Oct. 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

President Hoffard called the regular board meeting of October 10, 2019, to order at 6:00PM.

Present were: Hoffard, Craig, Mize, Ross, Widowski, and Treat. Hill was absent.

Administration present: Mr. Nighswander and Mrs. Armstrong.

Motion by Craig seconded by Treat to approve the minutes of the 09-12-2019 board meeting, carried.

Motion by Craig seconded by Treat to approve and make public record the closed session minutes of the 09-12-19 board meeting, carried.

Motion by Mize seconded by Ross to approve the financial report as presented and payment of the bills as listed in the amount of $30,416., carried.

ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS: Enrollment/Mobility Report; October Newsletter; Calendar

Motion by Treat seconded by Widowski to approve the FY19 audit as presented, carried.

Motion by Ross seconded by Treat to approve the FY20 Administrators Salary and Benefits Report as presented, carried.

Motion by Wisdowski seconded by Ross to deny a resolution to enter into a feasibility study, carried.

Motion by Craig seconded by Mize to approve the FY20 Library Grant in the amount of $750.00 as presented, carried.

Motion to approve the work on the Wastewater Treatment Facility done by Mott Excavating in the amount, not to exceed, $5731.00, tabled.

Motion by Craig seconded by Ross to convene to closed session at 7:20 PM to discuss:

•The placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students. 5ILCS 120/2 (c) (10) carried.

Motion by Ross seconded by Widowski to resume to open session at 7:28 PM, carried.

Motion by Ross seconded by Craig to adjourn, carried.
