Southern Seven Health Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 17.
If you are 50 years of age and older and have not underwent a colonoscopy in the last 10 years, contact your local Southern 7 Clinic to see about picking up your FIT today. This is a noninvasive, at home test that is used to detect blood in the stool that may be an indicator of colorectal cancer.
There are no out of pocket costs for you as long as you return your kit by mail to Southern 7 in a timely manner.
Remember: Early detection is key!
