Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, December 1-7, 2019;

December 1, 2019

A Metropolis Sergeant observed Gregory L Corzine,60, Metropolis sitting in a pick-up truck in the 1600 block of W. 10th. The Sergeant was aware that Corzine was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Violation of an order of protection. The Sergeant arrested Corzine. A search of him revealed that he was in possession of Meth and a meth smoking pipe. Corzine was taken to the Massac County Detention Center. A Massac County Detention Officer advised that he found a container containing pills, when Corzine was changing into jail garb. Corzine was charged with the warrant, possession of Meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges will be sought by Massac County Sheriff’s Office.

December 5, 2019

Metropolis Officers were called to the Family Dollar store on W. 10th St. The caller stated that there were suspicious persons in the lot. The Officers located them sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. A computer check revealed that Timothy R Puckett, 34 and Mareena D Reynolds, 46 from Metropolis, were both wanted on warrants. The warrants were issued by Massac County for failure to appear. Both were lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

December 8, 2019

Rebecca M. Williams,31, Golconda was arrested in the 1000 block of E. 8th St. Williams was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Pope County IL for failure to appear. Williams was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
