Village of Cobden Board of Trustees met Sept. 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Call to Order

Village President Paul Z. Tomazzoli called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Cali to Order

Roll Call

Upon roll call, the following Trustees were present;

Todd Dietterle 

Patrick Brumleve 

Larry Hackethal

Austin Sellars 

David Stewart

Absent

Jean A. Britt

Also Present: B. J. Hale, Chad Eads, Don Barden

Minutes of August 19, 2019 Regular Meeting

Motion was made by Stewart, seconded by Hackethal, to approve the Minutes of the August 19, 2019 regular meeting as presented. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumieve, Dietterle, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays; 0 - None 

Absent 1 - Britt 

Motion declared carried.

Approval of Bills and Salaries

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Dietterle, that presented bills in the amount of $15,051.77 and regular salaries be approved for payment.  Upon roll call, the vote was: 

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterle, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays: 0 - None 

Absent: 1 - Britt 

Motion declared carried.

Budget Report

Motion was made by Brumieve, seconded by Stewart, to approve the Budget Report for the period ending August 29, 2019, as presented. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterie, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays: 0 -- None 

Absent: 1- Britt 

Motion declared carried,

Line Item Transfers

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Dietterle, to approve line item transfers as requested. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterie, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays: 0- None 

Absent: 1- Briit 

Motion declared carried.

Fire Department Minutes

The Minutes of the August 19, 2019 Fire Department meeting were presented.

Re-instate Rank of Police Captain

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Djetterle, to re-instate the rank of Police Captain. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterie, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays; 0 - None 

Absent: 1 - Britt 

Motion declared carried. 

The Police Department Standard Operating Procedure manual will be updated and presented at the September 16, 2019 meeting.

Gobden Auxiliary Department

The Cobden Police Auxiliary Department will remain in place.

Request for Sewer Adjustment

Motion was made by Dietterie, seconded by Hackethal, to approve a sewer credit in the amount of $255.50 for Lisa McCain who had a water leak under her residence. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterle, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays: 0 - None 

Absent: 1- Britt 

Motion declared carried.

Disc Golf Course Grand Opening

The disc golf grand opening date will be October 12, 2019.

Trick or Treat

Motion was made by Brumieve, seconded by Sellars, to set Trick or Treat hours for 5:00 pm - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31 for children aged 12 years and under. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterle, Hackethal, Seliars, Stewart 

Nays: 0- None 

Absent: 1- Britt

Motion declared carried,

Ordinance No. 2019-998 – Liquor License Classifications

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Stewart, to pass 

ORDINANCE NO. 2019-998 – AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 21-2-6 OF THE REVISED CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE VILLAGE OF COBDEN. Upon roll call, the vote was:

Ayes: 5 - Brumleve, Dietterle, Hackethal, Sellars, Stewart 

Nays: 0 - None 

Absent: 1 - Britt 

Motion declared carried.

Adjournment

Motion was made by Brumleve, seconded by Dietterle, that the Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees be adjourned. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.M.
