Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, September 15-21, 2019;

September 16, 2019

While on patrol, a Metropolis Sergeant observed a blue GMC pick-up truck proceeding down 5th Street at Metropolis St. The Sergeant recognized the driver as Everett E. Mounts,60, Metropolis. The sergeant was aware that Mounts had a revoked driver’s license. A computer check confirmed it. Mounts was arrested and taken to the Metropolis Police Dept for processing. He was able to post bond and was released.

Craig D. Lindsey,34, Vienna, IL was arrested in the parking lot of Family Dollar. Lindsey was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Johnson County, IL for Violation of an order of protection. Lindsey was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 19, 2019

Lauren E. Murphy,29, Metropolis was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. The victim signed a complaint due to Murphy arguing loudly and driving at a high rate of speed through the alley and striking a vehicle on purpose multiple times. The owner of the vehicle did not want to sign a complaint. Murphy had also strewn gravel all over the place due to her driving. Murphy was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

September 20, 2019

Metropolis Officers were called to Acee’s Truck Stop for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, Officers were informed that Lauren E May, 27, Metropolis had been previously trespassed from the property and had returned. May was arrested for Criminal Trespass to property and taken to the Metropolis Police Dept for processing. May was released on bond.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
