Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.
From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, September 1-7, 2019;
September 1, 2019
Scott A. Smith, 34, Metropolis, was arrested in the 1600 block of Filmore. Smith was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Jefferson County, IL for Driving while license suspended. Smith was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
September 2, 2019
Krista J. Scott,32, Metropolis was arrested in the 700 block of E. 3rd St. Scott was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for Driving while license suspended. Scott was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
September 5, 2019
Metropolis Police arrested Lauren E. May, 27, Metropolis in the 100 block of W. 10th. May was charged with operation of a motor vehicle with suspended registration and driving while license suspended. She was taken to the Metropolis Police Dept for processing and was released on bond.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
