Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by president Holshouser.

Members present: Holshouser, Plott, Turner, Corbit, Houseman, Thorn, Superintendent Boren, and legal counsel Denny.

Mr. Boren read a thank you from the Lick Creek staff to the BOE.

Motion by Plott second by Corbit to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Corbit second by Houseman to enter into closed session for the purpose of personnel employment, compensation, discipline, performance, resignation, dismissal, student issue, and/or pending litigation at 6:37 pm. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Plott second by Corbit to approve the following commodity bids: Spurlocks trash one 4 yard container serviced Tuesdays and Friday $128 a month and $75 a month for June/July. Lewis Bakeries Sandwich wheat 16oz @1.58, Hamburger 8 pack @ 1.65, and hotdog whole wheat @ 1.65. Knapp Propane Firm @ 1.19/ gallon. F.S. Dieselex #2 2.59/gallon. Farm Fresh 1% milk 8oz, fat free chocolate 80z, fat free strawberry 8oz, and orange juice 4 oz. all.275 firm price. Motion by Houseman second by Corbit to approve the following non-certified salary schedule/raise: $.10 step and $.10 base increase. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Corbit second by Thorn to set registration, lunch, breakfast, and day care fees for 2019-20 as presented. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Turner second by Plott to approve the resolution that the hazardous conditions for pupils transported less than 1.5 miles has not changed from previous years per public act 94-0439: (each school board may provide free transportation for any pupil residing within 1 1⁄2 miles from school attended where conditions are such that walking, either to or from a pick up point or bus stop, constitutes a serious hazard to the safety of the pupil due to vehicular traffic or rail crossings. Motion by Corbit second by Turner to approve the resolution to abate Working Cash in the amount of $34,000.00 to Operations and Maintenance and $34,000.00 to Education Fund. Roll

Motion by Corbit second by Turner to approve the independent contract with Cassie Cohen for 1.5 days (10hrs) a week for 35 weeks at $30.00 per hour. Total $10,500.00 total. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Holshouser second by Corbit to approve Pete Houseman as part time music teacher to be paid on Substitute teacher rate for the 2019-20 school year. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Turner second by Houseman to approve QNS for tech support as presented to begin in October of 2019. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Houseman second by Plott to accept the resignations of Heather Coffman and Gina Davis. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Houseman second by Turner to approve the yearly contract with Union County Counseling. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Thorn second by Plott to hire Amanda Smith as the 6 through 8th grade science and ELA teacher pending certification for the 2019-20 school year. Roll Call vote: Holsouser: aye, Plott: aye, Turner: aye, Corbit: aye, Houseman: aye, Thorn Aye. Motion passed.

Motion by Holshouser second by Thorn to authorize the Superintendent to adjust the TRS for Judy Wilson in the amount of $14,607.02 with half of this amount to be reimbursed to the school by our insurance coverage.
