IV. Recognition of Guest, JEA Representatives, and Public Comment

Mrs. Stephanie Hill and Mrs. Dayna Will present as JEA representatives. Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Will presented school and student updates regarding students and activities. Representatives of the JEA also stated the Association's position of support for the County School Facility Tax.

c) Mrs. Jama Eddleman - Beta Club Sponsor

Mrs. Eddleman discussed Beta Club activities and presented planning and fund raising activities to support a proposed trip to the annual National Beta Club Convention in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Illinois Biodiversity Field Trip Grant- A big thank you to Mrs. Turner for securing the field trip grant through IDNR for our students. The funds will be used for a field trip to the Illinois State Museum and Adams Wildlife Sanctuary in Springfield.

CURRICULUM UPDATES

• Illinois Assessment of Readiness Testing window is March 11-April 26, 2019 Illinois Science Assessment- Grades S and 8 (March 1 - April 30)

UPCOMING EVENTS

• Spring Concert-Tuesday, April 9 @ 6:00P.M. Kindergarten Screening-Thursday, April 11 from 8:00-7:00 P.M. Kids in Technology Showcase- Saturday, April 27* from 8:00-3:00 P.M. (Replaces SIT) gth grade trip-May 9 and 10 Graduation- Friday, May 17 7:00 P.M.

• Superintendent – Dr. Keith Reinhardt

• Dr. Reinhardt presented the purpose of the Illinois State Board of Education's new requirement for completion and submission of first time report - Consolidated District Plan. He conferred how this "plan" will be interlinked in the years ahead with all Federal Title Grants and IDEA Flow Through funds.
