Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on July 10.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest Summary, June 30-July 6, 2019;

June 28, 2019

Metropolis Officers were dispatched to a fight in progress at the Parkview Apartments. The caller also advised that a subject was armed with a handgun. Upon arrival, Officers learned that Aaron N. Wilson,24, Paducah, KY was the person armed. A search of his pick-up truck revealed two handguns. Wilson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. Wilson was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

July 2, 2019

Metropolis Officers were called to the Hotel area by the interstate. Caller stated a male was looking into cars and had caused a disturbance at the Motel 6. Upon arrival, Officers located Michael A Oglesby, 45, Belton, MO by the Holiday Inn Express. Offices learned that Oglesby had been trespassed a few days earlier from the Motel 6. Oglesby entered the Motel 6 and caused a disturbance in the lobby as well as threatening the staff. Oglesby was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to property. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Amy Lorraine Berkley, 51, Metropolis was arrested at the Huck’s. Berkley, an employee was captured on video stealing money and merchandise from the store. Berkley was charged with theft and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

July 3, 2019

Thomas L Hodge,30, Burna, KY, was arrested on 10th and Neville. Hodge was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for retail theft. Hodge was also found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle/syringe which tested positive for Meth. Hodge was also charged with possession of hypodermic needle/syringe. Hodge was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

July 5, 2019

Metropolis Officers were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Girard for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers learned that the female was struck in the head by William Edward Brewer, 56, Metropolis. She advised she wanted to sign a complaint. Brewer was arrested for Domestic Battery and lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

Everlene M. Rennaux, 35, Metropolis was arrested in the 1600 block of Filmore. Rennaux was wanted on a Massac County warrant for domestic battery. She was lodged at the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
