Metropolis Fire Department issued the following announcement on July 3.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and not older than 35 years of age at the time of testing. Applications may be picked up between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday at the Mayor's office in the City Hall or the Metropolis Fire Department. Applications must be received by August 2, 2019, no later than 4 p.m., and may be turned in at City Hall, 106 West 5th Street, (618) 524-4016, or the Metropolis Fire Department, 213 West 7th Street, (618) 524-2121. The test will be held September 9, 2019. Women, veterans, minorities are encouraged to apply. Metropolis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
