UNION COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY: Anna Man Sentenced to 7 Years for Bank Robbery

Union County State's Attorney issued the following announcement on June 29.

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Chadrick Deon Miller (DOB 03/04/1987) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to seven (7) years in Illinois Department of Corrections on one (1) count of Aggravated Robbery, a Class 1 Felony. Miller will also serve two (2) years of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as Parole).

Miller pleaded guilty on October 2, 2018. Miller was arrested in November 2016 by Anna Police Department following an investigation that determined Miller went into the Southern Bank formerly known as Capaha Bank in November 2016 and threatened the employees with the imminent use of force, while verbally indicating that he was armed with a firearm and took US Currency from Capaha Bank. The case was investigated by the Anna Police Department with assistance from the Union County Illinois Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and Illinois State Police Forensic Sciences Command.
