There was one offender released on parole during the third quarter living near Illinois zip code 62996, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that the man was released in the Southwestern Illinois zip code. The 51-year-old parolee wasn't a veteran.

He was sentenced to 1 year in prison for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017 when he was 49 years old.
