There was one offender released on parole during the fourth quarter living near Illinois zip code 62988, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that the man was released in the Southwestern Illinois zip code. The 40-year-old parolee wasn't a veteran.

He was sentenced to 9 years in prison for a crime involving drugs in 2012 when he was 33 years old.
