Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Pulaski County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Pulaski County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that six men and one woman were released in Pulaski County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Santhosh Thomas. He was convicted of a property crime in 2015 when he was 51 years old. He is now 55.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Pulaski County municipality.
