Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Union County?

There were two offenders released on parole during that live in Union County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Union County were men. The younger parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018. The other was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Stevie R. Easterly. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018 when he was 20 years old. He is now 21.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Union County municipality.
