Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Alexander County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Alexander County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Alexander County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Kendric Williams. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2012 when he was 33 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Alexander County municipality.
