2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Pulaski County?

There were 47 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Pulaski County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that 40 men and seven women were released in Pulaski County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Leonel Cid. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2008 when he was 34 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in 2018 in each Pulaski County municipality.
