2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Alexander County?

There were 16 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Alexander County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Southern Illinois News.

The data shows that 15 men and one women were released in Alexander County. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2015, and the oldest was a 67-year-old man convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Kendric Williams. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2012 when he was 33 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
