The data shows that all of the released offenders in Tamms were men. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 39-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Kendric Williams. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2012 when he was 33 years old. He is now 40.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
