UNION COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY: Dongola Man Sentenced to 32 Years for Child Pornography

Union County State's Attorney issued the following announcement on May 10.

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Chad Anthony Miller (DOB 1/21/1991) of Dongola, Illinois has been sentenced to a total of thirty-two (32) years in Illinois Department of Corrections on two (2) counts of Child Pornography, both Class X Felonies. Miller will also serve three (3) years to life of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as Parole) and must register as a sex offender for life.

In pleading guilty, Miller admitted to taking pornographic photographs of a child under the age of 13 at a Dongola residence in November 2018. Miller was arrested in February of 2019 following an investigation by Union County Sheriff’s Deputies with assistance of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the victim was interviewed by the Two Rivers Child Advocacy Center in Anna.
