Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on May 7.

From the Office of the Director of Public Safety: Arrest summary, April 28-May 4, 2019;

April 28, 2019

William S. Frost was arrested at 15th and Girard St. Frost was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Effingham County, IL for Domestic Battery. Frost was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

May 1, 2019

A Metropolis Officer observed a silver Nissan traveling on US 45 near Faughn Lane. Radar showed the vehicle to be traveling at 61 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted. A computer check on the driver, Temille N. Lawrence,37, Tamms, Il revealed that she had a suspended driver’s license. She was also wanted on a failure to appear warrant issued by Alexander County, IL. Lawrence was arrested and charged with speeding, driving while suspended and the warrant. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

May 2, 2019

Metropolis Offices were called to the Hummas Apartments by personnel from the housing authority. Upon arrival, Officers learned that Thomas J Hamilton II,34, Metropolis was inside the apartment. Hamilton had been previously trespassed from the properties. Hamilton was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to state supported property. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

May 4, 2019

Metropolis Officers heard that a Massac County Deputy was attempting to catch Joshua MO Davis,35, Metropolis who was wanted on a warrant. The Metropolis Officer observed Davis going through some back yards. The Metropolis Officer was able to catch him in the 300 block of Filmore. Davis was found to be in possession of Meth and paraphernalia. Davis was charged with possession of Meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and the Massac County warrant for possession of Meth. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Metropolis Officers were called to the area of 11th and Vienna for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers observed injuries to the victim. The victim advised she was shoved to the ground during an argument. Bradley D Stoner,28, Metropolis was arrested for Domestic Battery. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department.

These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
