Angela Bailey is Southern Seven Health Department's Mental Health Consultant for the Head Start program. She has been contracted with the health department for the last 9 years. She observes all Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms as well as Home Based Socialization activities at last twice per year. During this time she makes observations and recommendations for how staff can help individual children who are struggling. She also contributes to developing Mental Health policies and procedures and is available to meet with staff for staff wellness. She can do additional individual mental health observations with children having difficulties in the classroom and also meets with parents regarding classroom or parent concerns at home.
