Metropolis Police Department issued the following announcement on April 9.

April 2, 2019
A Metropolis Officer on patrol, observed a green Lincoln parked at the pumps at Acee’s Truck Stop. A computer check revealed that the car had been reported stolen from Pulaski County, MO. The Officer observed a subject identified as Joshua M. Siercy, 39, Iberia, MO approach the vehicle with keys. Siercy was approached and taken into custody. Siercy wa charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Siercy was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
April 3, 2019
Antonia M. Jones, 38, Paducah, KY was arrested in the 700 block of E. 5th St. Jones was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by McCracken County, KY for parole violation. Jones was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
A Metropolis Officer stopped a Silver Ford on US 45 near Devers. A computer check revealed that the driver, Stephanie Jade Hern, 22, Paducah had a suspended driver’s license. She was also wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for a parole violation. Hern was arrested for the warrant as well as driving while suspended and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Hern was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

A Metropolis Officer observed a silver Chevrolet SUV on US 45 and I-24. A computer check revealed that the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license. A traffic stop was conducted and a computer check confirmed that Austyn T. Purvis,21, Golconda, IL had a suspended driver’s license. Purvis was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
Metropolis Officers were called to a disturbance at the U-Haul rental store on Devers. Upon arrival Offices learned that Kevin J. Mannis, 54, Metropolis had caused a scene and threatened employees. Mannis was charged with Assault. Mannis was taken to the Metropolis Police Department for processing then released on bond.
The preceding information pertains to arrests made by the Metropolis Police Department. These arrests are made on the basis of probable cause and all arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
