The price of local government in 2017: City of Anna

The City of Anna budget was $7.88 million for its 2017 fiscal year, or $2,314 per household.

That's an increase of 3.4 percent from 2016, when the city spent $7.62 million, or $2,239 per household.

Anna has 3,405 households and a population of 4,442.

Since 2001, the City of Anna budget has fallen by 0.7 percent, from $7.94 million. The city population has fallen 13.5 percent over the same period, from 5,136.

Salaries accounted for 23.1 percent of city spending in 2017. Anna property taxpayers paid $1.82 million for 26 full-time employees and 18 part-time employees.

In 2001, the city had 38 full-time employees and 10 part-time employees, and spent $1.83 million.
